The Legacy Lab empowers and scales community-owned Black businesses through targeted investments and advocacy. We aim to model an equitable economy that fosters the well-being of the Black community in all areas—physical, social, political, and economic. Through this program, our goal is to transform the narrative surrounding Black entrepreneurship, shifting the focus from mere risk and rapid growth to community wealth-building and restoring economic power to historically Black communities.

Building a future where childcare is a public good.

The Childcare Action Lab is a collaborative space to reflect, align, and imagine. Our role is to help the field sharpen analysis, share lessons across contexts, and inspire the public imagination for child care as a public good and a Caring Economy.

The purpose of this lab is to expand our collective sense of what is possible — and rigorously examine what it would take to bring those possibilities into reach.

Shifting mindsets and narratives around deservedness.

Narratives around bootstrapping and meritocracy are foundational and deeply problematic. However, individual organizations cannot individually change mindsets or narratives. The Narrative Action Lab will bring together a small group of progressive issue-based organizations to co-create values-based messaging that advances mindsets and narratives that cut across each of our individual issue areas.
