Our Impact.
Systems of oppression must be dismantled and replaced. We fight for a world where all communities across racial differences have the economic independence and power to steward their own restoration and healing.
Common Future has
catalyzed 90+ initiatives, sourced 500+ community-led
solutions, and influenced $280M philanthropic dollars
.
We Drive Change Through Action.
What We Do
Common Future provides capital, operational support, and strategic partnership to budding solutions addressing racial and economic injustice. Here’s our approach to driving change:
Building people power
We build connections and shift capital to support community-led solutions that can be recreated at scale across the country.
Validating alternatives
We ensure alternative economic models and policies gain traction, credibility, and capital, paving the way toward a more equitable economy.
Shifting capital
We support Funders as they reallocate capital to frontline BIPOC leaders, providing equitable and ample access to resources.
Shifting systems
We help decision makers craft new financial instruments, capital products, and policies, reshaping institutions through the lens of a restorative economy.
Our network of leaders, partners, and grantees spans 100+ communities, including wealth-holders and wealth-builders working together towards a more equitable economy.
In 2020, we channeled $4M+ in philanthropic capital directly to leaders in our network and amplified these opportunities to our funder-partners.
Through our work organizing capital, $280M has been redirected into community investment that prioritizes equity and power building.
Help build a Common Future.
Creating an equitable economy requires collective action from people across racial and class differences. Take part in a growing movement by making a donation, joining our team, or partnering with Common Future through our ongoing programs.
The People Behind Our Work.
