Corrina Brown
Fund Development Manager
I'm a rising nonprofit leader driven by a passion for systemic change that centers the liberation and empowerment of all people. My approach is people-focused, I am here to listen deeply and advocate fiercely for the needs and dreams of those who are too often overlooked. It is my intention to build genuine and transformative relationships with others who seek solutions that empower rather than “save” those who experience challenges and inequities due to system imbalances. And while I’m deeply passionate about what I do, I also believe in preserving my own light. Balance and self-care are essential practices that allow me to continue to show up fully for the communities I serve.
Over the last 7 years, I’ve had the privilege of working with various non-profit organizations championing different causes from arts education and representational justice to disaster relief, housing stability, financial literacy, and homelessness. Three years ago, I leaped into Development and Fundraising, excited to put my love for storytelling to work in helping organizations grow their reach and impact. On this journey, I've dived into persuasive writing, grants management, board relations, and strategic planning—while connecting with unapologetically bold people motivated by their unique lived experiences and passions to drive change.
My favorite part of my work is the connections and stories that come from authentic relationship-building. But what keeps me showing up each day is knowing that I have the opportunity to support a larger movement to reshape inequitable systems for future generations.
